Privacy policy
This policy describes what information we may collect when you visit sa7a.org, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: 2 May 2026
Scope
This policy applies to the Sa7a website (including Arabic, English, and French versions). It does not govern other platforms we may operate separately (for example a civic network at sa7a.net), which should publish their own notices.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process:
- Information you send us voluntarily — for example when you use contact or engagement forms (name, email address, message content, and any optional fields you choose to provide).
- Technical data typical of web hosting — such as IP address, browser type, date and time of requests, and pages visited — recorded in server or security logs for reliability and abuse prevention.
- Language preference stored in a cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) so the site can remember your selected locale.
- If enabled, aggregate analytics via Plausible Analytics — privacy-oriented, cookie-light usage statistics that help us understand traffic without selling personal data or using behavioural advertising profiles.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and secure the website, respond to legitimate inquiries routed through our forms, improve accessibility and performance, and understand aggregate interest in our content. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing and processors
We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf — for example website hosting, form delivery (such as Formspree when configured), and optional analytics (Plausible). Those providers may only process data according to our instructions and applicable law.
Retention
We keep form submissions and related correspondence only as long as needed to respond and fulfil the purpose for which you contacted us, unless a longer period is required by law or for legitimate security or dispute resolution.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings (this may affect locale persistence). For questions about personal data we hold, or to request correction or deletion where applicable, email [email protected].
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. If you believe we have received a child's personal information in error, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The « Last updated » date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
